One Year and We've Come a Long Way!

This past weekend marks my one year anniversary of not working. A year ago, I was 7 months pregnant, feeling very sick and tired, our home was in disarray as we prepared Natalie's room and finished the basement. It was on January 28th 2011 that I was put on bed rest and my life changed drastically.

What a blessing it has been to be home with my children. I've had the time to make my home a peaceful place, watch my babies grow, and hopefully plant seeds that will help form their character. We've had a lot of fun too.

Natalie and Dillan change so much every month! My baby girl loves to wave, clap, and do anything Dillan is doing. Dillan is learning the art of conversation. Here's an example:

WARNING! This story contains potty talk ;)

Dillan is potty training. I say, "Don't pee in your underwear, Dillan." Dillan likes to pass on this advice to others. We were walking the other day and he looked at me and said, "Don't pee in your reindeers, Mommy." I said ok. He then looked at the car we were walking by and said, "Don't pee in your reindeers, car."

Some pictures and a video of every day stuff...

WOW

One windy Saturday morning we decided to pack up the family and venture down to Lafayette to the World of Wonders (WOW) Children Museum. We suspected the activities would be a little advanced for our 2 year old, but we had free tickets and the weather was too nasty for anything else, so why not!

To our surprise, we couldn't have been more wrong! The museum was full of fun activities and little treasure for kids of all ages. Dillan's top picks were the Thomas Train exhibit, the riding cars, sand castle, and the balls and gravity activities. They also had a fun music time for the kids.

Grandma and Grandpa D joined us!
