Cheers to being 30!

Well, as most of you know, I made the notorious leap from my 20s to my 30s! I can honestly say, that I am so grateful for all of God's blessings in my twenties. I graduated from CLU, met and married the love of my life, "helped" remodel our house, received my teaching credentials and began a career I love, had the opportunity to love lots of little kids, made some life long friendships, traveled to Italy, started my master's degree, and had two adorable little children of my own!

God's blessings are amazing. I don't know what this next decade holds, but I know who holds it.

To celebrate, us girls (Mom, Liz, Alicia, and I) went to Los Angeles for the weekend and stayed with uncle Steven. It was AMAZING. Liz and I thought it was especially wonderful as it was a brief reprieve from our motherly duties. We had lots of uninterrupted conversations and enjoyed wonderful food (without having to force someone else to eat it.) We took our time, did things spur of the moment, and enjoyed art, family and friends!

Speaking of friends, I finally got to reconnect with my good college friend, Malisa. I haven't seen her since she was in my wedding 6 years ago! It was so great to see her... I was amazed at how much we have 'grown up' in the past 6 years.

Cheers to being 30! Here are a few pics.

Ready for our trip

Uncle Steven had a lovely dinner waiting for us when we arrived!

Dinner at 'The Lobster' on the Santa Monica pier before our show.

Liz getting ready to see Cirque du Soleil, Ovo.

Nothing like celebrating St. Patty's day with Alicia! She comes prepared.

Toured Uncle Steven's work place, Gensler, in downtown LA. So cool!

The folding lesson.
